We are driven by the passion and stories of the people that supply us. Together we form a community/group of artisans connected each to their own suppliers and ingredients, and ultimately to the land and livestock we rely on to receive our range of products and to be able to create the hand made dishes and desserts which are Maurice's very own recipe collection.
Our enthusiasm is powered by our customer's response, everything we do, we do to please, and improve the quality of the day for everyone who comes by, whether they stay, and enjoy our space, or take home and share the food that we have selected, or prepared.

Maison Chaplais was founded 15 years ago with the aim of selling uncomplicated and authentically sourced products. From fine pastas, sauces, crackers and biscuits to cordials, wines and condiments. We also offer hampers where you'll find all the magic of the delicatessen wrapped up in one unforgettable tailored package.
The vision was and continues to be, to create a favourite escape in Montpellier. As a bistro café, Chaplais Kitchen is very different from Chaplais Deli, the common goal being the passion to offer uncomplicated, great tasting food, using the best ingredients from artisans around the world to have in, on our terrace, or to grab & go, for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Breakfast bap
Two large free range eggs with four rashes of smoked dry Cotswold bacon or Cotswold sausages.
American pancakes
American pancakes served with either chipolata sausages and maple syrup, or fresh blueberries and maple syrup.
Scones and clotted cream
These are baked to order, so do book in advance, or be prepared sit and relax while we bake them for you.
Made with light brown cane sugar, to Maurice’s own recipe they look a little different, and hopefully, you can taste and enjoy the difference too!
Pasta bowls
Enjoy our delicious fresh pasta bowls in a homemade white creamy sauce.
Pizza
Served on our homemade thin crust sourdough, baked @ 450 c in our very own pizza oven. Available at 9 or 12 inch.
Slow cooked BBQ spare ribs
Half rack of ribs glazed with our signature homemade BBQ sauce, served with fries and side salad.
